IWCO Plans High-Speed Mail Processing Center

Direct mail services company IWCO Direct will launch a high-speed mail processing technology center at its Chanhassen, MN, headquarters in January, the company said yesterday.

The new facility will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and create 80 jobs. IWCO Direct said its recent expansion efforts have focused on high-speed lettershop equipment.

Along with expanding current facilities, IWCO seeks an acquisition outside Minnesota, the company said. The next phase of the company's plan involves expanding its platform geographically.

In June, IWCO Direct announced that it would expand its Little Falls, MN, facility, including new high-speed affixers, embossers, bindery lines, inserters and the addition of a fifth Siemens Dematic Delivery-Point Bar Code Sorter. Efficiency improvements at Little Falls based on the expansion led IWCO Direct to accelerate its plans to establish a high-speed processing center in Chanhassen, the company said.
