Mobile marketer ipsh, San Francisco, opened its first international office in London.

The move is part of a joint venture with ZULU, Omnicom's network of agencies in London. The additional network members are ad agencies Agency Republic, Alcone MarketingGroupCode and Claydon Heeley.

Although the mobile industry is growing in the United States it is much bigger overseas, Ipsh CEO Nihal Mehta said. He cited that 1 out of 5 ads in the London Telegraph include a mobile short code.

Previously ipsh campaigns reached the international market but did not have service offices for clients based there. The European office will provide mobile marketing, mobile strategy, media planning and buying, as well as creative services

Craig Patton was named managing director of ipsh's European division. Mr. Patton was most recently a consultant and previously worked for wireless marketer Flytxt and interactive agency Agency.com, an Omnicom company.

In the U.S., ipsh has worked on more than 550 mobile campaigns with clients like Discovery Channel, Pfizer and McDonald's. The ZULU network leverages its members to work with clients including BBC, Egg, Mercedes-Benz, Diageo, 02, and Sony PlayStation.
