Investment Fuels Epixtar's Plan for Call Center Growth

Teleservices provider Epixtar and its subsidiary, Voxx Corp., received $7 million in financing yesterday from two sources that will help the company in its goal of expanding to 3,000 to 5,000 seats in the Philippines with the opening of additional call centers by the end of the year.

Epixtar, Miami, received $5.5 million from Laurus Master Fund Ltd. and $1.5 million from Laidlaw & Company (UK) Ltd.

The company has three call centers in the Philippines and four in the United States. It is constructing a fourth in the Philippines, an 800-seat center on land previously occupied by the U.S. Air Force's Clark Air Base.
