Interpublic Group Buys Stake in Japan's Oak Lawn

The Interpublic Group, New York, Friday acquired an equity stake in Oak Lawn Marketing, a database, customer relationship management and Internet commerce company based in Japan.


Financial terms were not disclosed.


As a result of the agreement, IPG's McCann-Erickson WorldGroup will be able to link its McCann Relationship Marketing Worldwide network to major Oak Lawn CRM properties such as Contact Jap@n, a 24-hour, customer-service telephone center, and its Shopjap@n Internet shopping mall.
