International Heritage Turns to Direct Marketing

Attempting to distance itself from SEC allegations of a pyramid scheme, network marketing company International Heritage Inc. has shed its sales force of 175,000 representatives and started converting into a direct marketing company.

IHI, Raleigh, NC, will now market its consumer, sports and telecommunications products through infomercials and direct mail. The company has not determined whether it will develop these services internally or contract with outside vendors. The conversion will occur as soon as a business plan is completed and is contingent on additional capital being raised.

IHI is compiling a house list from its prior sales contacts to provide a universe for mailings.
