Cable provider Comcast has named interactive agency Huge the digital agency of record for Comcast.com. Brooklyn, NY-based Huge, an Interpublic Group agency, will be responsible for the site's digital strategy and design. It will also work on online, mobile and social customer-service initiatives for Comcast.com.
Pirelli Tire North America named Rosetta its first interactive agency of record last month.
In its second agency acquisition of the year, interactive marketing firm Definition 6 has acquired Leach Communications, a New York-based PR firm. Definition 6 bought the firm to add an additional PR, strategic communications and social media marketing element to its offerings, said Michael Kogon, founder and CEO of Definition 6.
Samsung, conducting a test for more than six months on BestBuy.com, found that it could increasingly interact with consumers via a "Mr. Samsung" expert who answers consumers' questions on the retail site. The company discovered that consumers tend to view products more often after interaction with Mr. Samsung, says Kris Narayanan, director of integrated marketing at Samsung Electronics America.
15miles, the interactive division of TMP Directional Marketing launched in August, has named Gregg Stewart president. Stewart most recently served as SVP of interactive for TMP Directional Marketing, a local search and Yellow Pages provider.
