BMG Columbia House is a music continuity program and insert marketer that launched in the mid-1950s. BMG, formed in 1987 after merging with RCA, reaches 16 million music and movie fans through its catalogs and Web sites. BMG offers 100 million package insert and ride-along opportunities yearly.
With 24 years in the insert industry, Holland completed two years as co-chair of the Insert Media Council in October and still serves on the operating committee. Before joining Scarsdale, NY-based Singer Direct, Holland worked as national sales manager for the Advertising Services Division of SBC Communications Inc., among other positions. He now specializes almost exclusively in packaged goods accounts.
"Jeff Holland has been an encourager. He expects the best out of everyone," said Jim Zuckermandel, president/CEO of Zed Marketing Group, Edmond, OK, and new co-chair of the Insert Media Council. "And he's gotten a lot done for the industry through the years."
In his speech, Holland encouraged Insert Media Council members to reach out to the DMA as well as members of the operating committee to help make the council and Insert Media Day stronger.
Jillian Payne, vice president of Media Resource Group, Mount Kisco, NY, is the other co-chair of the Insert Media Council.
