InQ Allies With Vertrue

Online chat marketing services firm inQ struck a strategic marketing alliance with Vertrue Inc., a Stamford, CT, provider of consumer membership and loyalty programs.

The deal aims to promote PartnerQ, inQ's post-transaction cross-sell component to its chat offering. It coincides with a $2.5 million investment in inQ, Agora Hills, CA, from venture capitalists Dolphin Equity Partners and Hudson Ventures.

Clients using PartnerQ can monetize the post-transaction page of their Web sites. A live Chat Box on the order confirmation page lets inQ online sales agents offer incentives, discounts, membership club signups and other measures to turn one-time shoppers into repeat customers.

Also, inQ clients can customize the post-transaction chat to cover cross-sell programs offered by their clients' partners or affiliates as well as create their own loyalty programs.
