Inktel Expands Client Services' Role

Inktel Direct, an outsourced provider of telemarketing, fulfillment and direct mail services, said it is expanding and redefining the role of its client services group.

The Miami firm now offers consulting on the development and implementation of advertising and marketing programs. It is establishing strategic business partnerships ostensibly to secure better deals for clients than what they could get independently. Finally, the agency wants to serve as the main contact managing all aspects of its clients' programs.

"We view this as a business opportunity that will differentiate us from our competitors and act as an additional revenue stream," said Donald J. Cannava, vice president of client services and general counsel for Inktel Direct.

Marketing budgets have been tightened and ROI requirements increased, Cannava said. By handling their ad and marketing programs, Inktel also hopes to streamline processes and trim costs for clients.

Inktel clients include BellSouth, Procter & Gamble Co., Discover Card, Ford Motor Co., AMS Direct and Reader's Digest Association.
