infoUSA.com Joins Network Solutions
Provider of proprietary business and consumer databases, infoUSA.com, Omaha, NE, signed an agreement this week with Network Solutions, an Internet technology services provider, to provide content, build and distribute an Internet yellow pages of online businesses called Network Solutions' dot com directory service. infoUSA said the site is being designed to allow users to locate business Web sites and buy and sell products.The directory will be created by compiling the 4 million Web addresses in Network Solutions' system with infoUSA's database of 11 million small businesses. Users will be able to search by business category, type of service, sales volume, geography, name, commerce-enabled status and keywords. Portals also will be made available allowing users to conduct e-commerce with any business with a Web address. InfoUSA also plans to provide its 2.5 million customers with a direct link to the dot com directory.
