InfoUSA drops Donnelley Marketing name

Database services provider InfoUSA Inc. has renamed its Donnelley Marketing unit as InfoUSA National Accounts.

The renamed unit will move its base to Omaha, NE, infoUSA's headquarters. All technology, database marketing and product functions will be based in that city, in line with infoUSA's stated goal to centralize its core functions.

Rakesh Gupta will head the National Accounts Group, infoUSA said in an announcement made Dec. 26 evening.

"By centralizing the people who manage our core assets, we can provide higher quality service to our customers by leveraging its pool of 1,300 employees in Omaha and promote our one-brand philosophy of all data products being sold under the infoUSA brand," infoUSA chairman/CEO Vin Gupta said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the company also unveiled plans to create an online community of sales people, sales managers, entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The online sales lounge, at http://www.salesgeniesuccess.com/, is positioned as a peer-to-peer networking, sales, inspiration, motivation and education resource. It will launch in the first quarter of next year, including both third-party and user-generated content.
