InfoUSA Debuts Internet-Based Prospecting Tool
The software allows small-business owners and salespeople to send their list of customer telephone numbers to infoUSA through its Web site at www.infousa.com. It then matches the list to infoUSA's databases of 14 million businesses and 266 million consumers.
Business customers are analyzed according to standard industry code, number of employees, sales volume, credit rating, years in business and other criteria. Consumer customers are analyzed by age, income, household value and other characteristics.
After the analysis is done, an e-mail is sent to small-business owners or the salespeople with a link to the Web site where they can view the prospect list created for them.
The analysis service is free upon registration and customers only pay for the prospect names they wish to use.
