InfoUSA Bolsters Net Presence

Database provider InfoUSA, Omaha, NE, added services and reach to its Internet presence this week (March 31) by signing an agreement with domain name registry Network Solutions and introducing a browser-based system to download lists that maintain customer suppression.

The new agreement with Network Solutions, Herndon, VA, is a continuation of an existing relationship and will focus on building products for the small business market using InfoUSA‚s database of 10 million businesses and Network Solutions position as the leading provider of Web addresses as a starting point.

InfoUSA subsidiary Database America has introduced the ProspectZone system which allows users to build business and consumer lists on their desktop. Lists can be built by geographic area, business type, age, income and various other selects. The system automatically suppresses current customers from these lists and can limit lists to a geographic territory to avoid sales force overlap.
