InfoSpace Gains Impulse Shopping Capabilities

Online directory InfoSpace (www.infospace.com), Redmond, WA, along with its network of 1,500 Web sites and 5,000 merchants soon will have impulse shopping capabilities as a result of an agreement it made with Internet merchandising network Impulse Buy Network (www.impulsebuy.com), Burlingame, CA.

Impulse will give InfoSpace a continual feed of time-sensitive product offers in real time from its more than 80 name-brand merchants, including Cyberian Outpost and Land's End. Impulse also will create an InfoSpace-specific version of its authoring tool so InfoSpace's 5,000 affiliated merchants can create their own product offers, which will appear in Impulse Racks. The racks show a stream of offers that consumers can click on to get more information.
