Infoseek Gets Tailored E-Commerce Offers

Impulse Buy Network, Burlingame, CA, has announced a new suite of applications called I-Merchandising that will enable content sites to offer customized e-commerce across a range of product categories and brand name merchants. This week, it also announced that the first two customers for I-Merchandising will be Infoseek and ZDNet.

According to Impulse, I-Merchandising will allow sites to immediately have customized e-commerce offers from all of its 175 merchants, including J. Crew and Egghead Software. The transactions will be completed on the host site to help prevent the loss of page views and help draw visitors back to the site to check on the latest offers. Impulse Buy Network currently has alliances with portals such as Yahoo, AT&T WorldNet, GeoCities and CBS Marketwatch.
