Inform Announces News Aggregation Platform

Inform Technologies LLC introduced a new online platform in beta version this month that combines news reading, aggregation and search by distilling Internet news content into common semantic elements.

The proprietary technology collects content from thousands of newspapers, magazines and newswires online and analyzes the entire text via an algorithmic processing engine.

The next step requires Inform to tag and score each element of the article, identifying every topic, industry, organization, person, place and product mentioned in the piece. This is automated meta-tagging for online information retrieval.

At the users' end, Inform lets them view online news in a traditional way and then delve deeper into topics that catch their interest.

"We convert news into math, and the resulting metadata enables a new user experience," Inform CEO Neal Goldman said in a statement.
