InfoPost.com Debuts BTB Celebrity Photo Service
InfoPost Inc., New York, is targeting magazines and commercial Web sites with an offer of downloadable celebrity photographs for $65 each.The pictures, taken by photographers Steve Granitz and Jeff Vespa, are available for purchase at Infopost.com and SteveGranitz.com. The purchases are not exclusive, as several companies can buy and use the same image.
Photos of more than 15,000 well-known actors, musicians and athletes appearing at celebrity events make up the collection of more than 25,000 photographs.
Photographs include images of President Clinton, actress Julia Roberts and retired basketball player Michael Jordan. The downloads come in high-resolution JPEG images. SteveGranitz.com, Los Angeles, also offers the collection on CD-ROM through a next-day delivery service.
InfoPost plans eventually to target consumers with the Web service, said Brian Kaplan, spokesman for the firm. Kaplan added that his company plans to unveil Internet, print, direct mail and radio ad campaigns early in 2001.
