InfoGroup names new exec

InfoGroup today named Thomas McAlister its new chief information officer.

McAlister will be responsible for managing the enterprise technology aspects for the entire company. He will coordinate the initiatives of InfoGroup's business units with those of the corporate enterprise to develop an overall strategy for the governance of information technology, the company said.

McAlister's previously served as chief information officer for Metrogroup Corporation from 2005 to 2008, and also has held leadership positions for JPMorgan Chase and Ameritrade Holding Corporation.
