Infogroup consolidates subsidiaries, launches client experience group

Infogroup has consolidated five of its data and marketing services brands into a single sales organization, CEO Clare Hart told Direct Marketing News on May 9. The new unit comprises former Infogroup subsidiaries Direct Media Millard, Donnelley Marketing, Edith Roman & Associates, Walter Karl and Yesmail.

Omaha, Neb.-based Infogroup has also launched a client experience group to coordinate and manage client interactions across the data management and digital services organization, said Hart.

“We want to bring together the client services experience under one leadership team,” she said. “We want it to be more consistent than it can be under separate business units.”

Gemma Postlethwaite, who was appointed chief product officer at Infogroup in January, will lead the client experience division. She will be responsible for product management and delivery of all of the company's data and marketing services. Gordon Jones, Infogroup chief technology officer, will oversee all technology aspects of the consolidated data and marketing solutions unit. Jones and Postlethwaite will both report directly to Hart.

Last month, Infogroup said it will reposition its various companies as product lines or services under the Infogroup brand beginning July 1.

The combination of the various companies and the creation of the client experience group are “all about improving the level of service,” said Hart. “We can go further and faster when we leverage all our services to support customers instead of spreading these resources across brands, and instead of having an experience that varies based on what former business unit you're doing business with.”

Several remaining Infogroup subsidiaries, such as InfoUSA.com, have yet to be brought under the Infogroup brand or merged with other subsidiaries.
