InfoGroup chair: No decision yet on company sale

InfoGroup Chairman Roger Siboni said in a November 1 statement that the company's management has "made no decision to sell the company.” The press release came one day after the Omaha World-Herald reported that at least 33 potential bidders have expressed interest in the firm to its financial advisor, Evercore Partners.

Bill Fairfield, CEO of InfoGroup, added in the statement that the company is “continually evaluating the operations and prospects for the company to determine what course is best for our shareholders.”

InfoGroup declined to comment further when reached by DMNews.

InfoGroup also released on November 2 earnings for its fiscal third quarter, which ended September 30. Third-quarter revenue was $125 million, a 14% year-over-year drop from the $145 million reported last year. However, the revenue total was a 2.24% increase over the $122.2 million reported for this fiscal year's second quarter.

Last month, the company merged its two nonprofit divisions into one unit, called InfoGroup Nonprofit.
