Influent Takes Over APAC Call Center

Influent said yesterday that it completed its acquisition of a 144-seat call center in Quincy, IL, from APAC Customer Services. APAC said last month that it would close the center.

The company hired 58 of APAC's employees and plans to add another 150 workers and expand the center to 172 seats. Influent said it needed the space because of recent new customer acquisition and customer service contracts as well as growth of existing client programs. With the expansion, Influent adds 20 percent to its domestic capacity of 800 inbound and outbound call center seats.

"The choice to enter the Quincy market was made easier because the technical configuration of the center mirrors Influent's operating platform," Hayley Savage, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Influent, said in a statement. "More importantly, the clients represented there, including several financial services companies, are also served by Influent."
