Infiniti, Excite@Home Sign Marketing Agreement

Infiniti, the luxury car division of Nissan North America, and Internet service provider Excite@Home yesterday signed a three-year cross-marketing agreement.

The companies will distribute more than 4 million CD-ROMs of Excite@Home's Freelane free Internet services through Infiniti showrooms and other retail channels nationwide.

Excite@Home will promote Infiniti through its services, including prime positioning on Excite.com, banner advertising and sponsorships tied to relevant content on the Web site.

Excite@Home's 23 cable television affiliates will provide co-branded local marketing opportunities.

The companies also will sponsor Indianapolis 500 winner Eddie Cheaver and participate in local events surrounding the Indy Racing League.
