Infinite Media Buys Database Firm

Direct marketing agency Infinite Media Inc. bought database marketing firm MicroMarketing Technologies Inc., Salem, MA, to boost its direct mail offerings.

The acquisition lets Infinite Media, based in Lynn, MA, better segment and target qualified prospects for products and services peddled by agency clients like Nextel, GE Aircraft Engines, Sun Life Financial, Constellation NewEnergy and The Provident Bank.

"We strive to be a full-service, all-inclusive company that can not only do the strategic and creative, but also do the analytic side for the return on investment," said Nancy Parshley, president of Infinite Media, a 10-year-old shop.

MicroMarketing brings clients like Northern Massachusetts Telephone Workers Credit Union, Salem Five Bank, Mount Washington Bank and Eastern Bank. To these accounts it offers market and customer analyses, database marketing, laser letters and mail services.

"We're really looking at having the ability to segment, track and analyze direct marketing results," said Tammy Hesse, director of marketing at Infinite Media.
