ICT Group Expands Into Philippines

ICT Group opened a 250-seat call center in Manila, Philippines, as part of an ongoing effort to expand its offshore and near-shore call center facilities, the company said yesterday.

The Newtown, PA-based agency is expanding its international assets to try to offer clients lower-cost sales and customer support teleservices. The new Manila contact center, which opened May 5, will provide English-language teleservices for markets in North America, Europe and Australia.

The company expects to add other outsourcing functions to the center. The facility has the capacity to expand to 700 workstations and will have about 500 by the end of the year, ICT Group said.

Agents at the center are now providing technical support for a consumer electronics and telecommunications client, the company said.
