ICOMS, Nashua, NH, has acquired Cambient, a technology consulting firm focused on connecting companies with their customers in real time, resulting in a new class of application service provider.

ICOMS will offer a much broader modular suite of applications delivered as a managed service, including marketing support, demand generation, content management, auction services, order management, database management, transaction management, customer service, and integration with installed customer systems. With its new outsourcing models, its clients will not have to recruit, train or manage their own technology staffs and instead can rely on iCOMS' e-business experience.

"We are listening to our customers," said Larry Mihalchik, CEO of iCOMS. "As their e-businesses grow and prosper, they now require additional sophistication and functionality, new services, greater scale and greater control over their Internet presence."
