IBM, Ariba Offer 'Spend Management'

IBM and Ariba, a provider of "Enterprise Spend Management" solutions, announced yesterday the launch of Spend Management Advantage, a series of five packaged tools that addresses business, process, technology, supplier and operations issues.


Spend Management Advantage consists of IBM offerings integrated with Ariba Spend Management applications. According to the companies, it is designed to accelerate adoption of ESM by helping companies manage all aspects of their spending and achieve spending reductions.


Ariba and IBM will work with customers to define their spend management vision and develop a strategy using their initiatives and resources. Companies can expect savings from areas including enterprise-wide participation and improved deployment speed and effectiveness.


Spend Management Advantage includes Spend Management Strategic Advantage, Spend Management Buying Advantage, Spend Management Sourcing Advantage, Spend Management Performance Advantage and Spend Management Infrastructure Advantage.
