IAB Canada Absorbs Quebec Interactive Association

The Internet Advertising Bureau of Canada has absorbed the Bureau de la publicite sur Internet au Quebec in Montreal.

The province's bureau will become the Quebec chapter of IAB Canada. Like its parent, the Quebec chapter will continue to offer research and education on interactive advertising and marketing to its membership.

Members of the Quebec association include Web publishers, ad networks, ad agencies and advertisers. They automatically will gain membership in IAB Canada, which has offices in Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto.

A nonprofit in Toronto, IAB Canada has about 100 members comprising publishers, advertisers, ad agencies and service associations in the Canadian interactive marketing industry. An effort is on to open more chapters in other Canadian cities.
