Humor Network Announces Wireless E-Mail Offering

The Humor Network has added wireless distribution capabilities to its e-mail marketing services.

Marketers will be able to better target e-mail ads on the system, and consumers will be able to put their downtime to use, said Eric Targan, CEO/founder of The Humor Network, New York.

The Humor Network will use wireless distribution with its interest-specific joke clubs and Web sites. Registrants can sign up to receive e-mails from Farmjokes.com, Collegejokes.com, Sportsjokes.com, Rudyjokes.com and Hillaryjokes.com.

The Humor Network and its flagship site, Joke-Of-The-Day.com, have 1.7 million subscribers who receive the firm's daily run of e-mail jokes that contain ads.

Targan claims his company's daily audience exceeds that of The New York Times, and he predicted that The Humor Network would soon eclipse the daily audiences of USA Today and The Wall Street Journal.
