HSN makes hot pot pay-off

Home shopping cable TV network HSN settled charges that it failed to report in a timely fashion serious injuries from pressure cookers for $875,000 with the US Consumer Product Safety Commis­sion last week. HSN denied allegations that it risked injury to the public by not imme­diately alerting the public about a problem with lids on the Welbilt electronic cookers.
