HouseHold Direct Begins Membership Acquisition Campaign

HouseHold Direct announced yesterday the launch of a direct mail and telemarketing membership acquisition campaign that will allow members to shop online for 300,000 products representing 200 name brands of fine furniture, lamps, home accessories and more.


Those who become members pay a fee. They then can buy products at manufacturer/distributor pricing.


The new membership platform is currently available and is based on an opt-in formula.


HouseHold Direct said it hopes to use the campaign to generate information on members as it prepares to merge additional programs and locations across the country. The company said it is talking with other buying club operations to co-locate some of these facilities.


Members who sign up for the free trial receive a membership kit through the mail. HouseHold Direct will use the data collected from new memberships and other opt-in inquiries to help create more targeted campaigns in the future.
