Hotel Network Expands Online Booking
Hotel Reservations Network, Dallas, is going to have the online hotel booking capabilities of its consumer site, www.180096hotel.com, expanded as a result of an agreement it recently made with online hotel transaction processor Pegasus Systems, Dallas. Pegasus will let HRN provide detailed property information on more than 22,000 hotels in 165 countries.As a result, consumers will be able to shop and ask for information on room availability, view photographs of a hotel, its rooms, lobby and surrounding areas, make an online reservation and receive a confirmation within seconds. Forrester Research, Cambridge, MA, says online hotel reservations are expected to grow to $4.6 billion by 2000.
