Hoover's announces the launch of new mobile product line

Hoover's and its parent company D&B have announced the release of the browser-based application Hoover's Mobile for iPhone users and the device-enabled application Hoover's MobileSP for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile smartphone users. The services will allow subscribers to search and assess sales leads and access company records from their mobile devices.

“We want to be the fastest path to business, and we want to provide subscribers with the easiest and most flexible tools to work with,” said David Mather, president of Hoover's. “So, we have to worry about our customers when they get up from their desk and leave their office.”

Beta versions of Hoover's Mobile and Mobile SP are currently available to established Hoover's subscribers. The mobile services will be fully available to US and UK users early in the first quarter of 2009.

In the meantime, Hoover's hopes to improve its mobile services by collecting user feedback. Hoover's also plans to expand its mobile service globally while also making it compatible with more mobile devices and operating systems.
