Holiday Same-Store Sales Flat at Williams-Sonoma

Williams-Sonoma Inc.'s net revenue for the eight-week holiday period ended Dec. 26 totaled $775.9 million, up from sales last year of $723.2 million, the San Francisco company reported yesterday. The 7.3 percent gain was below expectations, it said.

Though overall same-store sales for the eight weeks were flat, comparable-store sales were positive during this time for all of the company's brands except Pottery Barn. The multichannel marketer's other brands include Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn Kids, Pbteen, Hold Everything, West Elm and Williams-Sonoma Home.
