Hogan resigns as HP enterprise sales and marketing EVP

Thomas Hogan has resigned as EVP of enterprise business sales and marketing at Hewlett-Packard Development Co. (HP), the technology services provider said April 18. He will continue to work at Palo Alto, Calif.-based HP until May 31.

Jan Zadak, managing director for HP Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), will replace him on May 1. Zadak joined Compaq Computer five years before it was acquired by HP in 2002, and has since held several senior management positions, including SVP of sales for HP's enterprise business in EMEA.

Hogan joined HP in 2006 and “drove a significant extension of the company's software portfolio, tripling revenues and expanding operating results,” according to an HP statement. A company source said Hogan had achieved the strategy goals he outlined when he took the position in April 2010 and decided it was a good time to move on.

HP's former CMO Michael Mendenhall resigned in January. He was hired as Lipman Advertising's president and COO in March. Mendenhall served as the general chair of the 32nd John Caples International Awards in March 2010.

There is no connection between the two resignations, said the HP source.

The company is continuing to search for a global CMO.
