Hitachi Data Systems will use the iBaan for CRM solution, according to Baan, a Golden, CO-based customer relationship management software and service vendor.

Hitachi Data Systems said yesterday that the system will let it streamline sales processes, increase sales potential through better campaign and opportunity management and drive up closings through efficient CRM.

IBaan for CRM is a combination of systems, software and applied business intelligence that can help organizations maximize customer acquisition, loyalty, retention and profitability. IBaan for CRM supports roles, devices, channels and touch points throughout the enterprise.

Egan Christensen, director of IT sales operations, said Hitachi chose iBaan for CRM because it found it to be the best overall solution with lowest cost of implementation.

"With iBaan for CRM we can migrate to the latest 4.2 version with minimal disturbance of the business and without losing functionality, which is an important consideration in today's market," he said.
