Iams tapped Hilary Swank as ambassador for its Home 4 The Holidays (H4TH) campaign, which will run from October 1 to January 4. Encouraging consumers to adopt pets, the campaign aims to find homes for 1.5 million pets during that time.

"Hilary's genuine passion and love for animals combined with her pet adoption experience makes her a tremendous ambassador for Iams Home 4 the Holidays," said Dan Rajczak, VP and GM for P&G Pet Care in North America, in a statement. According to Iams, Swank adopted her two dogs, Karoo and Rumi.

Last year, Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman was the H4TH ambassador.
