David Hernandez will join Ogilvy's Chicago office as managing director of OgilvyOne and executive creative director of Ogilvy & Mather Chicago on May 10. He is set to re-join the agency after leaving last year to become managing director of Tribal DDB Chicago.

Hernandez will report to Ogilvy & Mather Chicago president Jack Rooney.

"Running OgilvyOne is his primary responsibility, which is a vertical responsibility," Rooney explained. "His role as executive creative director is a more horizontal, with an emphasis on digital for Ogilvy & Mather."

In his executive creative role, he will also have a hand in each business unit's work, though his primary responsibility is leading OgilvyOne, Rooney said.

OgilvyOne's major clients include CDW, Zurich, Sears, BP and the American Bar Association.
