Healtheon, Kiva Genetics Team for Genetics Channels
Healtheon/WebMD Corp., Atlanta, formed a strategic partnership with genetic research provider Kiva Genetics yesterday. Kiva will help create a Genetics and Genomics channel on Healtheon/WebMD's portal.Healtheon said it will receive $35 million over five years from Kiva Genetics for the delivery of content to WebMD Practice and WebMD Health.
Healtheon will make an equity investment in Kiva Genetics and the two companies will share revenue generated by the channels.
Kiva Genetics, Mountain View, CA, will provide medically and scientifically reviewed original, current content, including articles, general interactive tools, reference databases and referral resources relating to genetics and genomics.
