Health Hero, OpenTV to Launch Direct Health Channel

Health Hero Network Inc., New York, an e-health company, said yesterday it entered a strategic alliance with OpenTV, Mountain View, CA, a provider of software that enables digital interactive television, to create an interactive health channel offering personalized health content, community and commerce services. OpenTV will offer the service to its partners through its digital TV subscribers. The initial focus of the service will be on Health Buddy, Health Hero's interface that enables subscribers to receive and respond to structured communications from caregivers.
