Hawkeye Communications Acquires HMS Direct

Hawkeye Communications Inc., New York, has announced the purchase of HMS Direct Ltd., Cincinnati, a direct marketing and distribution firm specializing in the development of proprietary software systems and technology to help marketers reach hard-to-find customers.


Hawkeye was formed in January with the goal of becoming a leading integrated marketing services company through the acquisition and growth of leading marketing services businesses. The company was formed by G. Steven Dapper, former chairman/CEO of Rapp Collins Worldwide; Ronnie Cohen, former president of AyerDirect; and GTCR, Chicago, a private equity firm.
