Harvard Affiliate Partners With Diabetes Direct

The Joslin Diabetes Center, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, has partnered with Diabetes Direct in a five-year agreement to provide news and educational information in catalogs and newsletters.

Diabetes Direct, Nashville, TN, includes newsletters and patient-education materials in catalogs and with products delivered to consumers. Joslin Diabetes Center, Boston, will review copy and develop new content for the print materials, including tips for living better with diabetes. Joslin officials said they hoped to increase the center's exposure among diabetes patients.

Diabetes Direct markets home-delivery services for diabetes-related products through direct mail, the Internet and materials distributed to 25,000 physician's offices, pharmacies and senior centers nationwide. The company also markets diabetes self-management programs to managed-care providers, self-insured employers and some insurance carriers.
