Harte-Hanks Buys E-Mail Service Provider

Harte-Hanks said yesterday that it acquired e-mail service provider Postfuture, Richardson, TX.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Harte-Hanks, San Antonio, said it would use the acquisition to integrate e-mail marketing better with its database products. Postfuture's e-mail platform is designed to integrate easily with companies' existing databases.

Previously, Harte-Hanks contracted with e-mail service providers to create, send and track e-mail campaigns for clients. By owning its e-mail service provider technology, the company hopes to tie e-mail closer to its other marketing efforts.
