Harold B. Crandall, 73, an experienced direct marketing recruiter, died Oct. 4.Crandall founded the recruiting firm Crandall Associates Inc., New York, in 1973. The company publishes the annual Direct Marketing and Telemarketing Salary Guide and conducts executive searches for direct marketing and telemarketing companies.
His daughter, Wendy Crandall Weber, who has been acting president of the company for the last two years, will succeed him as president/CEO.
Before founding Crandall Associates, Crandall worked as a newspaper reporter and later as a partner in a direct marketing agency. He also owned a stock brokerage firm.
