Harland Debuts Analytical Tool

Harland Analytical Services, Atlanta, a division of John H. Harland Co., said yesterday that it has launched Stratics Long-Term Value Segmentation, an analytical tool for financial institutions.

According to Harland, Stratics Long-Term Value enhances a financial institution's understanding of a customer's value by looking at the customer's growth potential and attrition risk. It includes the creation of customized calculations based on a financial institution's existing profitability indicators. By incorporating predicted future propensities into the calculations, Stratics gives a more comprehensive assessment of the relationship's overall contribution to the institution.

The service is an extension of Harland's Stratics suite of predictive analytical services. Harland developed the models by evaluating behavioral attributes within a nationwide database of more than 130 million account-level records.
