GT Direct Readies Turbo Cooker for Retail Rollout

GT Direct, New York, will roll out its Turbo Cooker for retail sales in the fourth quarter as a result of positive revenues gained through direct response television sales.

The Turbo Cooker is a covered aluminum pan that steams, roasts and bakes food. The company said the product achieved record revenues through its long-form DRTV campaign that debuted in the beginning of 2001. The company did not disclose revenues.

GT Direct markets celebrity-endorsed products such as Richard Simmons workout tapes, Debbie Allen Copa Hair and Cindy Crawford exercise tapes.
