Groups Sell Health Insurance Online
Ceres Group, Strongville, OH, which provides health insurance for businesses, reached an agreement with HealthAxis.com, a distributor of health insurance over the Web, to offer insurance products online. The products will be available through Provident American Life and Health Insurance Co.The products -- which include small group medical insurance, long-term care insurance and critical illness coverage -- will be available on the HealthAxis.com Web site early this year. Customers will be able to purchase insurance products throughout HealthAxis.com's network of sites and through its exclusive distribution partners, which include AOL Service, AOL.com, Lycos, CNET and Snap.
