Group 1 Software, Lanham, MD, a customer relationship management software and solutions provider, and iWay Software, New York, a business integration solution provider, announced a strategic alliance yesterday to provide companies with an accurate, single customer view.

As a result, iWay's data integration technology will be added to Group 1's Enterprise Data Quality solution, allowing users to unify data from multiple touch points and business applications with minimal customization.

Group 1 Software also announced this week that it anticipates revenue and earnings for the third quarter of fiscal year 2002 to fall below analyst expectations.

Group 1 said that revenue for the third quarter, which ended Dec. 31, was about $22 million. Cash flow was positive, however. Group 1 said its cash and cash equivalents totaled $43.8 million on Dec. 31, up from the $41.8 million reported on Sept. 30.

Final results will be available on Jan. 28.
