Group 1 Buys Data Profiling Technology

Group 1 Software, a Pitney Bowes company, announced this week its acquisition of a source code license for the data profiling technology of AMB Dataminers, Chicago.

This technology provides an advanced solution for understanding the structure, content and quality of corporate data. Group 1 will offer the technology as part of its data quality suite of solutions.

The data profiling software acquired by Group 1 provides insight into existing data sources through a combination of automated discovery and interactive analysis. This functionality lets organizations automate the error analysis and data definition that must occur during data preparation.

By using this technology, Group 1 customers can eliminate the extensive manual processes normally required for this step, and can rapidly and accurately implement the data quality solutions that they require for their CRM, ERP, data warehouse or other critical IT initiatives.
