Group 1 Software, Lanham, MD, has released Business Merge/Purge Plus for Open Systems. The system allows businesses to maximize data quality and reduce waste while avoiding duplicate mailings, the company said.The product detects misspellings and company name variations, which helps prevent duplicate mail to those differences. It generates a set of output files and produces statistics for analysis. The output files include a complete list of all duplicates identified, a cleaned file ready for use, an extra output file and a reject file that shows which records were rejected.
The system is available on Windows NT, UNIX and DEC/VMS.
