Granada Takes Flytxt for 'Blind Date'

British television broadcaster Granada asked Flytxt, a London wireless marketing agency, to handle short-text messaging for the interactive edition of the "Blind Date" show.

The agency's selection follows the use of SMS voting for shows like "Pop Stars" and the Miss World contest. With "Blind Date," audiences at home will be asked to text into a short-code and can vote on either the male or the female contestants.

This is the first time "Blind Date" will air live, thus allowing for real-time audience participation.
